Attorney Todd Hardy’s practice is focused on litigation matters including commercial, personal injury, trade secrets and intellectual property, products liability, employment, and class action litigation, as well as appeals. At the beginning of each representation, Mr. Hardy identifies the client’s ultimate goals and develops a comprehensive plan for achieving those goals in the most effective and efficient means possible.
How I Serve Clients
I serve clients by ascertaining, at the very beginning of the representation, what the client’s ultimate goals are, and developing a comprehensive plan for achieving those goals in the most effective and efficient means possible. I believe it is important to communicate regularly with clients, and to include the client in the process of developing strategy to address the various issues and challenges that arise through the course of litigation.
Exceptional Client Service
Exceptional client service requires an open ear, an open mind, creativity, and flexibility. It is the attorney’s duty to foster open and thorough communication with the client. This requires keen listening skills, and the ability to ask the right questions to ensure that all of the client’s concerns are addressed.
Once the client’s goals are fleshed out, exceptional client service requires an understanding of the applicable law, creativity for developing a comprehensive strategy, and flexibility for responding to any obstacles that would stand in the way of achieving the client’s goals.
How My Background Helps Clients
Prior to becoming an attorney, my former career was in journalism. As a newspaper reporter, I was challenged on a daily basis to research and report on a wide variety of news stories under deadline pressure. In gathering information for stories, I developed strong interviewing skills that have served me well as a lawyer in meetings with clients, in depositions, and in witness examinations.
I also learned to synthesize complex issues into a digestible form that could be communicated to readers of varying backgrounds and experience. This ability to whittle down and clearly articulate the very crux of a complicated set of facts has served me well as a legal writer and oral advocate.
When I am Not in the Office
When I am not in the office I am chasing my kids, or, if I am lucky, on the tennis court.
