Patricia Victory Waterkotte, who joined Rusing Lopez & Lizardi two years ago, was named one of Tucson’s 40 Under 40, an award that recognizes young leaders who are making an impact in the community with their professional and charitable work.
The award is one of a handful Waterkotte has received recently recognizing her as a young leader in the legal industry and the community. She was named a 2015 Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star in April. And last month she was recognized as a “future star” in Benchmark Litigation’s annual guide of the top firms and attorneys in the United States.
“We recognized Patricia’s talent as a lawyer and a leader when we brought her into our firm two years ago,” said firm founder and partner Mick Rusing. “In the time she’s been with us, she’s demonstrated that she is a rising star among attorneys while also showing a deep interest in making our community better.”
Waterkotte’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, education and financial services litigation in Arizona and California.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the University of Arizona and earned her law degree from Notre Dame University. She is a member of the Junior Achievement of Arizona Southern District Board of Directors.
The 40 Under 40 Awards are co-hosted by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Arizona Daily Star. The presenting sponsor is the Snell & Wilmer law firm.
