Robert McManimon joins RL&L as an accomplished Attorney and Legal Compliance Officer with over a decade of management and leadership experience. A retired Marine Corps Officer, Robert has extensive advocacy experience both within and outside of the federal government. In addition to his Juris Doctorate, Robert holds postgraduate degrees in Business Administration, Finance, and International Law.
Robert spent most of his early professional life in management roles. Most notably Robert led the training and supervision of highly regulated onboarding officers responsible for due diligence, anti-money laundering and USA PATRIOT ACT compliance, and the sale of securities at the J.P. Morgan Private Bank. Subsequently, Robert received orders to active duty as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps where he held a variety of billets including as a small unit tactics instructor, the Regional Legal Assistance Director for Marine Corps Installations Pacific, the Officer in Charge of the Camp Foster Regional Tax Center, and as defense counsel to military members accused of misconduct. After his retirement, Robert returned to Tucson to finish his Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Finance degrees at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. During and after his studies, Robert continued to practice as a civilian attorney.
Robert’s practice includes real estate, banking, and finance with a focus on due diligence, restrictive covenants, legal compliance, and direct client advice. He has provided superior service to over 600 clients, drafted and executed over 200 contracts, provided legal memorandums, and engaged in pre-litigation or litigation services on over 50 cases and overseen a variety of complex transactions.
