2020 begins with Rusing Lopez & Lizardi proudly announcing a new Equity Partner, Partner, and Of Counsel.
As of January 2020, Jonathan Saffer became the fifth Equity Partner at RL&L. For the last eighteen years, Jonathan Saffer’s practice has concentrated in all aspects of commercial litigation, finance and business law. He has extensive trial experience in both state and federal courts; advises banks and other lending institutions in all phases of commercial finance matters; and represents several businesses in matters ranging from intellectual property to franchise. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Arizona and earned his law degree at the University of Arizona after a period playing professional baseball in the Montreal Expos’ organization. Jon has been repeatedly recognized by The Best Lawyers in America®. “We are thrilled that Jon will be an integral part of the future of this firm,” said Founding Partner, Pat Lopez.
Isaac Crum was named a Partner in January 2020 as well. Crum has worked in an Of Counsel role at RL&L for the past couple years. “Isaac’s partnership is well earned,” said Equity Partner Oscar Lizardi. “He is an extremely qualified attorney and a quality person who certainly makes our firm stronger.” Isaac Crum has over a decade of experience representing major corporations in intellectual property litigations around the country. Isaac’s legal experience and technical background, in computer engineering, has been leveraged by many of the country’s largest companies across a wide range of technologies. Attorney Crum has been recognized as a “rising star” by the peer-reviewed Southwest Super Lawyers® for the past five years.
Sarah Letzkus was promoted to an Of Counsel position in 2020. Letzkus has been an Associate for RL&L for the past four years. Her practice is currently focused on commercial and employment litigation with an emphasis on defense. Letzkus earned a bachelor’s degree in political science, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Arizona, and graduated Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif from the Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law at Arizona State University. She is a current member of the Emerging Leaders Council and too, has been recognized for the past three years as a “rising star” by the peer-reviewed Southwest Super Lawyers®.
