Anthony Casarona has joined Rusing Lopez & Lizardi as a partner in the Scottsdale Office, and the firm has named Sarah S. Letzkus a partner.
Casarona is a corporate and transactional attorney whose practice includes mergers and acquisitions, business formation, commercial agreements, organizational and strategic planning matters, and corporate general counsel activities.
Prior to joining RL&L on January 1st, Casarona ran his own practice, Casarona Law Firm in Scottsdale. He has served as an in-house attorney as well as an attorney at some of the largest law firms in the world. His experience has been in a variety of industries including healthcare, life sciences, government contracts, retail, sports, and entertainment.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his juris doctor from Catholic University of America-Columbus School of Law in Washington, D.C. In addition to Arizona, he is admitted to the state bar of New York and to the Washington, D.C. bar.

Letzkus has been with the firm since 2016 and was named Of Counsel in January 2020. Her practice has focused on representing businesses and individuals in all stages of dispute resolutions including pre-litigation settlement negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, jury trials and appeals.
Her primary practice centers on commercial litigation including business breakups, breach of contract, fraud, trade secrets and other business torts. She also practices in the field of creditor’ rights, representing lenders in workouts of commercial loans, including advising lenders about their rights and obligations, negotiating with borrowers and their counsel, drafting forbearance agreements and other loan modifications.
Letzkus earned a bachelor’s degree in political science, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Arizona, and graduated Magna Cum Laude and Order of the Coif from the Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law at Arizona State University. She has been recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, the national attorney rating organization, for multiple years and is a member of the Emerging Leaders Council.
