Rusing Lopez & Lizardi, PLLC, is pleased to announce the addition of its newest partner, Patricia Victory Waterkotte.
Since joining Rusing Lopez & Lizardi in December 2013, Ms. Waterkotte has established herself as one of the firm’s leading and most proficient attorneys in her practice areas of complex commercial litigation, education and financial services in Arizona and California.
“Patricia has proven to be a huge asset for our firm both in terms of her abilities as an attorney and as a representative in the community,” said founding partner Mick Rusing. “Time and again, Patricia has been recognized as one of the top up-and-coming attorneys and we want to ensure that her future remains with our firm.”
Waterkotte has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by the national rating service Super Lawyers both in Southern California and the Southwest region for her work in business litigation. She was recognized as a “future star” in Benchmark Litigation’s annual guide of the top attorneys in the United States, and was named one of Tucson’s 40 Under 40, an award recognizing leaders making an impact in the community with their professional and charitable work.
A graduate of University High School in Tucson, Waterkotte was among the first volunteer teen attorneys with Pima County Teen Court in 1995. She served as a congressional intern for Sen. John McCain, and earned her degree in Management Information Systems, magna cum laude, from the University of Arizona. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2005.
Waterkotte is a member of Angel Charity for Children, Inc. and the Morris K. Udall Inn of Court. She also serves on the Southern District Board of Directors for Junior Achievement of Arizona.
“Patricia has proven to be a welcome and invaluable member of the firm’s litigation team, successfully handling several substantial high-profile cases,” said Arizona Appellate Judge and firm partner J. William Brammer, Jr.
