Zoey Kotzambasis joins Rusing Lopez & Lizardi after spending several years as a Judicial Law Clerk at the United States District Court for the District of Arizona and Arizona Court of Appeals Division Two.

At the District Court, Zoey clerked for the Honorable Jennifer G. Zipps and Honorable Scott H. Rash and managed civil cases, drafted judicial decisions and orders on civil and criminal issues, and assisted with the administration of jury trials. During her District Court clerkships, Zoey also drafted a decision for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals when the Honorable Raner C. Collins sat on the court by designation. While clerking for the Honorable Christopher P. Staring at the Arizona Court of Appeals, Zoey researched legal issues and drafted dozens of memorandum decisions and published opinions for civil, criminal, juvenile, and family law cases.

Through her clerkships, Zoey has gained a detailed knowledge of both the trial and appellate processes in a wide variety of civil and criminal matters, and valuable insight into effective trial and appellate advocacy.
